Jia-En Danny Chen

Jia-En Danny Chen

CEO & Founder

PhD Candidate, University College London

Danny is a researcher and educator in medical physics and bioengineering, currently pursuing an PhD at University College London. He holds an MSc in Automation and Control from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and a BSc in Public Health from National Defense Medical Center, Taipei.

He serves as a lecturer at National Defense Medical University, teaching Python programming and medical 3D printing, and has been a researcher at Tri-Service General Hospital's Medical 3D Printing Center since 2018. His international experience includes time at MIT Media Lab (2016) and the Harvard-MIT Bio Academy.

Danny founded Medical Fablab NDMC in 2014, a pioneering makerspace supporting medical innovation in Taiwan. He is a member of Accelerate Cambridge at Cambridge Judge Business School and co-founder of Lifefabs Institute.

Karol Duque

Karol Duque

Head of Engineering

MEng Biomedical Engineering, University College London

Karol holds an integrated Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from University College London, with specialization in 3D printing and electronics for medical applications.

She has been developing neurosurgical training models since 2023, when she completed an internship working directly on the NeuroPrint model development under Danny's supervision. Her technical expertise spans the complete workflow from medical imaging to final model production.

Karol leads the engineering development of current models and oversees quality control across the production network. Her background in electronics integration enables future development of sensor-equipped training models.

Sherry Chen

Sherry Chen

Head of Marketing

MSc International Marketing, King's College London

Sherry is a product manager working at the intersection of healthcare, medical technology, and marketing strategy. She is currently pursuing an MSc in International Marketing at King's College London, building on a clinical and research foundation in respiratory therapy and undersea medicine.

Previously at Baxter, she drove go to market strategy and key account execution for advanced surgery products in Taiwan, contributing to strong regional sales performance and a 40% year on year increase in product utilization. Earlier in her clinical career, she led an innovation initiative during the COVID-19 medical supply shortage, achieving hospital wide adoption and receiving a National Innovation Award.

Sherry integrates clinical insight, research experience, and commercial strategy to accelerate evidence-based adoption of medical technologies across healthcare systems. ensuring that Jade Snow Medical's products align with real-world surgical training needs.

Joshua Chen

Joshua Chen

Biomedical Engineer

Research Background: CNRS, France

Joshua is a biomedical engineer at Jade Snow Medical, contributing to the development and scaling of advanced surgical simulation technologies. He brings an international research background, including experience with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France, and applies a rigorous, systems-level approach to translational medical device development.

At Jade Snow Medical, Joshua focuses on the design, fabrication, and validation of high-fidelity 3D-printed anatomical models for surgical training. His work supports the company's mission to improve access to realistic, reproducible simulation tools, reduce dependence on cadaveric resources, and enhance surgical training outcomes.

Joshua works closely with clinicians, engineers, and academic partners to refine prototypes and integrate engineering best practices into clinical simulation workflows, helping ensure that Jade Snow Medical's technologies meet the practical needs of surgical educators and healthcare institutions worldwide.
